Katie Nelson

  • Katie Nelson is a ceramicist who investigates three dimensional design through exploring sculptural forms. She is drawn to the beauty of everyday objects and how they can bring joy to our daily lives.

‘I hope each of my pieces will be treasured for years as they are made to last, in aspiration that people buy less and consider the making process’, says Katie.

  • In a world where we all feel compelled to relentlessly strive for perfection, and many of the objects in our homes are mass-produced, her pieces inspire a love for the beauty of the irregular, uneven and imperfect.

All of her pieces are unique and utilise various decorative techniques and processes, whilst her role as a ceramics teacher drives her continuous development.

Katie’s work is available as a range of commissioned ceramic homeware pieces.
